My senior dog has a rash near her eye and nose. What can I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 13 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

My 13 year old dog has a rash around his eye and on his nose it's not an emergency though being Saturday vet is closed! Been putting a anti itch cortisone cream on it to help her from scratching but not sure their is anything else I can do?

It appears it may be bruised or very inflamed along with the hair loss. Her eyes are open and do not appear to be affected other than the eye lids. There is not much more you can do at home except keep it clean with mild soap and water and make sure to not get it in her eyes. Your vet will likely do bloodwork due to the bruising and maybe take a skin sample
