My cat is hissing at me after new kitten. Is this a serious issue?

hi my 5 year old cat is gone crazy. i had brought in a kitten and the kitten was left in the bathroom for 10 min to see if she would react well to the kitten. my cat didn't even see the kitten see just knew she was there but now she hisses at me and it's like she doesn't know who i am shes fine with my mother is this a phase and pass with a few weeks or is this a more serious mental issue thanks

I would recommend getting a Feliway diffuser to help settle the cats while this introduction goes on. Jazzmin may be showing misdirected aggression if she smells the kitten on you.
