My dog has roundworm diarrhea. Can I give Pepcid or Imodium?

If my dog has diarrhea caused by round worms should I give him pepcid or imodium

No, I would not recommend giving either of these. I would deworm Gunner with a good broad-spectrum dewormer like Panacur to get rid of the parasites - this will clear up the diarrhea. In the meantime, you can feed him a bland diet of plain boiled chicken and rice for the next 2-3 days to help encourage his stools to be firmer.

    Imodium would be just a symptomatic treatment, which would not be of great help in case of an infective gastroenteritis. In this case, considering the persistency of the diarrhoea despite the dietary change, I would recommend a check up at your local veterinarian as antibiotics and probiotics may be needed.
