My King Charles has some form of film developing over his eyes, it's coming and going, any idea what this might be and what I should do about it?

Without being able to see what the film looks like, it's hard to say what this might be. Obi may have allergies, an eye infection, or some other type of eye problem such as corneal dystrophy or anterior uveitis. I would recommend having his eyes checked by a vet as soon as you are able to - he/she can do a complete ophthalmic exam and may also do some testing if needed to help determine the problem and see what needs to be done to treat it.

It looks like your puppy has a congenital cataract. This is a hardening of the lens that begins during fetal life. Congenital cataracts may be inherited or secondary to other developmental abnormalities of the eye. Because of a possible genetic component, I would recommend having all your puppies examined by a veterinarian or a veterinary ophthalmologist. Depending on the underlying cause of the cataract, surgery to remove the cataract or possibly remove the eye may be needed. You can find a veterinary ophthalmologist in your area on www.acvo.org.
