Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 lbs
General advice. I took in a cat that would be at our office door and be really friendly and be fed but wasn't wanted. She ran away once and I just got her back. How do I make her feel more comfortable? Specific diet or not? Shes skittish to sudden movements/sounds but doesn't swipe and enjoys petting.

It's lovely of you to take Rikku in and give her a home! I would give her space and time to get used to living in your home. To keep her safe and from running away, I would keep her indoors, as that will help her adjust better. It will also keep her from getting attacked by other animals. Make sure you have a litter box for her. Moving into a new home is stressful, and it will take time and patience for her to adjust. Give her love when she approaches you, and if she seem stressed out, give her space. I would get her a cat tree, and set it up near a window so she could climb up it and watch the world outside. As for a diet, I would feed her a high quality cat food, such as Royal Canin or Hills Science diet.
