My puppy ate glass days ago. Is random peeing a sign of a problem?

Watch for vomiting, excessive drooling, blood coming from her mouth, diarrhea, blood in her poop, lethargy, or a loss of appetite. If you see any of those signs, Abby will have to see a vet. Vets will see animals for medical emergencies during this time.

Vomiting and diarrhea could potentially be signs that the glass is causing a problem. If you see any additional vomiting or if the diarrhea progresses I'd recommend seeing a veterinarian. They might recommend x-rays as the first step to determine if there is glass present in her gastrointestinal tract.

These things are not necessarily related. If the puppy is fine today she probably ate something rotten and vomited it up. As long as she’s acting fine I wouldn’t worry about it. If she’s lethargic, vomiting a lot or not eating then I would bring her in for an exam. The other dog that is older and peeing blood I would have seen right away. She may have a severe urinary infection, or there may be a tumor, or bladder stones in her bladder causing that much blood. They will examine Bagheera and examine the urine under a microscope. If they find crystals or feel abnormalities in her abdomen they may recommend an X-ray or bladder ultrasound. When they get a diagnosis they can start the appropriate treatment right away. I think it's unlikely that the wood ingestion and the inappropriate urination are related. Remember, these are two separate systems - urinary and digestive - we're talking about, so I can't readily put together a good reason as to why ingesting wood would lead to peeing in the house. However, I'd likely have a lot more questions for you regarding how Finn is doing overall. My first and foremost concern would be that the wood has caused an intestinal blockage, and I'd want to know if there is also vomiting and/or decreased appetite going on. If so, you should know that this is an emergency situation and Finn needs to be seen right away in order to rule out a blockage. If the incident with urinating in the house was a one time thing, and he's well otherwise, it may just be that at his young age he's forgetting his house-breaking training, and you can monitor the situation.

Raisins have the potential to cause kidney failure which causes the dog to act lethargic, not eat, maybe vomit and likely drink and urinate more. If your puppy isn’t doing any of those things I doubt the raisin has anything to do with it. He may have a urinary tract infection or crystals in his urine. Poor guy. I too am worried that he could have a bleeding disorder, urinary stones, or a raging urinary tract infection. I would highly recommend taking him to your vet as soon as you can. They need to do some bloodwork and a urinalysis on him to determine what his current health status is. Best case scenario is that he has a raging UTI, which typically responds to antibiotics. It is very possible, and I would be worried if he's now having vomiting and diarrhea, as that may indicate a partial blockage (where some but not all stool is able to properly pass). If his symptoms continue, or none of the pee pad is passing, I would schedule a vet visit immediately to check for foreign body.

Keep an eye on Duke for now. These pads may pass or they may cause an obstruction. Signs of an obstruction include vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and lethargy. If your friend sees any of those signs, have her take him into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

I'm glad to hear that Irati still seems comfortable, but urinating 4 times in just one hour is very frequent. It may have been that she drank a lot of water after playing, but it could also be an early sign of a urinary tract infection. Monitor Irati closely for ongoing frequent urination, straining to urinate or drinking more, as all could be a sign of infection. If you are still noticing these changes, she should be taken to her vet for an exam and urinalysis. If this was a one time occurrence, there is likely less cause for concern. Poor Gregor! He has been through a lot! If I am understanding you correctly, he has vomited up the foreign object. If he vomited up the foreign object and is feeling better, then I would recommend offering a bland diet such as boiled chicken mixed with rice. Offer just a tablespoon or 2 and see if he can keep it down. He is urinating a lot of clear urine most likely because he is well hydrated (good job!) But, if he is feeling better, and not vomiting, it is time to start feeding him. If he holds down the small meal, offer that every hour for the first day. Then on day 2- feed it for 3 meals. If he does well for that, start mixing it with his original diet and get him back on a regular feeding schedule. If he became ravenous before the foreign object, it is most likely that he is on a growth spurt. If he doesn't want to eat, is still vomiting or is lethargic- please take Gregor in for an exam at a veterinarian. He could still have another foreign object or another prob
