My dog is suddenly sad, shaking, and won't eat. Should I see a vet?

My dog is not looking to good. He's very sad and won't eat. He keeps shaking a bit. He wasn't like this in the morning and now he is.

Poor Twinkie! It does sound like he isn't feeling well. Unfortunately, these are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost anything. You can try offering him some plain boiled chicken and rice or chicken-flavored baby food to see if he's willing to eat - if so, you could opt to monitor him at home for the next 24 hours to see if the problem resolves. If he still won't eat, I would recommend taking him to the vet this evening if possible, or first thing in the morning at the latest to find out what's wrong. Your vet can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help determine the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.
