Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered
Hi I have a cat named Charlie he is around 5 or 6 years of age I also have a cat named max he is around 8 years. My cats hate each other and won't stop fighting it's scaring me.. Charlie has now chose to sleep on my cold kitchen floor I feel as if he is feelifeeling depressed. Is this normal among cats? Should I be worried? Can it be stopped?

It can happen that certain cats don't like each other, and don't get along. I would try to re-introduce them slowly to each other to see if they can get along this way. Take Charlie, and put him in his own room with his own food, water, and litter box. Keep the door closed, and for a few days, feed them both treats on other side of door so they associate each other's smell with a good experience. Then let Max in Charlie's room while Charlie is in a cat carrier. They can smell each other, but not be in contact. If either becomes upset or show signs of aggression, remove Max from the room, and try again later. Praise them when they interact appropriately. When they are interacting well with each other through the carrier, you can let Charlie out of his room, and see how he interacts with Max. Praise them when they interact appropriately, and separate them with any sign of aggression or upset. I would get a cat tree with lots of shelves to give the cats vertical space to get away from each other. I would keep Charlie in his room when you go out until they are comfortable with each other.
