Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old
Hi, I have a Pug (1.5yrs) and a Cocker Spaniel (7yrs). Over the past 24hrs they have both began vomiting, the Cocker Spaniel has since returned to normal but the Pug now has Diarrhea and has developed a strange limp, it seems both of his back legs have gone quite stiff and he is tired. My vets will not be open until the morning. Is this something serious?

Poor Frank! This vomiting and diarrhea could be caused by a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. Lethargy would be an accompaniment of being this ill, while his back legs could be sore from having to squat so frequently to have diarrhea. I would try a home remedy first, but if he still has the same symptoms in the morning, I would take him into the vet for an exam. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If his symptoms worsen in the night, I would take him into an ER vet right away.
