Hello, i have a 3 year old male cat, one day he stopped eating and started vomiting and experiencing diarrhea, after 2 days i took him to the vet and they said he has bacterial infection and i had to force feed him fluids and augmentin. Now after a couple of days he stated eating again but he has a black watery stool every time he uses the litter. So i would like to know if that is normal and will he be fine later on or ist permenant and will affect the life time of my pet! Thank you

It isn't normal at all, black stools is usually a sign of bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract. That could be due to a stomach ulcer or pancreatitis for example. A severe infection could also cause this. If the black stools do not get better within 48 hours you will need to take him back to the vet in order to run some tests.
