It's very important to make sure that Bruno has yearly health checks with the vet, that he is kept up to date on his vaccines, and he is regularly treated with flea medication, heartworm prevention, and deworming treatments. He should also be exercised for at least 45 minutes twice a day, and be fed a high quality dog food. I would not recommend giving him human food, as too much of it leads to obesity and certain human foods are toxic to dogs. Finally, give him lots of love and attention, and take him to the vet if there are any health concerns.

Feed Bruno a high quality food (not store or generic brands), make sure he has plenty of fresh water available, get him yearly health checks with the vet, be sure he is on heartworm preventative (and any other prophylatic meds he may need), and keep up with your vet's recommended vaccination schedule. Report anything out of the ordinary to the vet, and guard against bloat gastric tortion, which deep-chested dogs tend to get. Do this by feeding two half-meals instead of one big one, and limit his activity for at least an hour after meals. Keep his toenails trimmed, and do not give too many treats. Enroll in a good obedience class if he needs training.
