Is Piriton safe for my dog's scratching after flea treatment?

My dog keeps scratching even though she has been flea treated, no visible sign of fleas either. I have some piriton 4mg tablets previously prescribed by a vet for nibbling in between her toes. Would it be okay to give her some for a couple of days to see if it eases her scratching? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 11 years and 11 months old | 35 lbs

Yes, it should be OK to give her the Piriton, but bear in mind it doesn't always work for allergies, if after a couple days you do not see any change, you will probably have to take Honey to the vet in order to get something stronger that will stop the scratching.
