My French Bulldog has enlarged heart & breathing issues. Is there a cure?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 17.6 lbs

My 1 year old french bulldog has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart since birth. He is on daily medications and has difficulties sleeping well as he has breathing problems. I would like to find out if there might be a way to cure him from this illness at all? According to local vets in Bangkok, there is no way. Only to be on meds for life.

Unfortunately, the vets are correct. There is no cure for heart disease, and it does require life long medications to control the symptoms. I'm very sorry Dude was diagnosed with this at such a young age :-(
