My dog has parvo and worms. Can I treat both conditions together?

Can a dog have the Parvo Virus and Worms at the same time? Can they be treated for both together?

Yes, a dog can have parvo and worms at the same time. Parvo is life threatening and often deadly with no cure, so the treatment focus would be exclusively on symptomatic treatment for that instead of the worms. Deworming treatments can cause vomiting and diarrhea, and it would not be wise to give a dog who is already vomiting and experiencing diarrhea a drug that could potentially cause more of that. If the dog does recover from parvo virus, as it is frequently fatal, then he can be treated for worms.
