Puppy coughing after rawhide chew. Is she okay? What should I do?

After my puppy was chewing rawhide, i hope she will be okay. In case of any reaction to the rawhide, what should I do? She is coughing a little. Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 3 months and 14 days old

If she is coughing a little, I would not worry about Mila just yet. If a piece of rawhide had gotten caught in her trachea, she would be in distress, choking and drooling, and pawing at her mouth. If it was caught in her esophagus, she would be drooling and regurgitation shortly after eating it. Should she show any of those signs, I would take her into a vet right away. Given that she is coughing a little, it is likely the rawhide simply irritated her esophagus, and she should be ok :-)
