Hello ,my dog got knee surgery with metal plates put in from torn ligaments around 12-13 weeks ago and everything was all healed up and fine until now ,I lifted my dog up onto the bed and she started squealing and yelped ,and can not put eight in the leg ,what's wrong with her ? It's urgent Many thanks jess. Pet's info: Dog | West Highland White Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 5 months old | 8 lbs

Poor Lucy! She may have re-injured her leg, and I would take her back into a vet immediately. Given that she has had surgery and now she is non-weight bearing, it's very important to have her seen by the vet who did the surgery. The vet can do a lameness exam, and may do x-rays to see the position of the plates.
