How to stop my house-trained dog from peeing in just one room?

Pup knows where to pee and usually he asks to go out, but he thinks that it's okay to pee in one room. Only accidents in that room. How to stop this?

It is not uncommon for puppies to identify boundaries which are different to what we would like, preventing access to this room unless he is closely supervised and on a leash until he no longer looks to use this as a toilet area may help

Reward him when he goes outside. When he is inside, keep him in kennel if you are not watching him directly. Everytime he slows down playing or starts to sniff and circle, then take him outside to try again. He is too young still to be fully potty trained, so be consistent and patient and he will get there

I recommend crate training or restricting his area to just outside the doggie door. He doesn't quite understand that the whole house is never to be pottied in and until he understands this, he may continue to have accidents in the house. The longer this behavior goes on, the harder it may be to change it. Gradually he can gain freedom as he exhibits the desired behavior. House training can be very frustrating. It is possible that Roxie is continuing to urinate and defecate in that one spot because there is still a smell there. Using an enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle will help to remove the odor-causing compounds and make it less likely that Roxie will use that spot to potty. It is also important that you block Roxy's access to this area for a while. When having problems house training I recommend that owners set a timer and take the dog out every hour during waking hours. Each time you go outside and Roxy pees or poops praise her lavishly with words or with a yummy treat. When you are not home confined her to a crate or small room. The crate should only be big enough for Roxy to stand up and turn around. A crate that is any bigger will allow room for Roxy to pee or poop and move away from it making it more likely that she will go to the bathroom in the crate. Our little cinnamon roll has accidents at our house and does it only in 1 place. She's house trained and potty trained. I don't know what to do anymore. Should I get the no pee pet spray or something else? Any advice would be appreciated.
H, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sadly if she is is going in the house she still isn't fully house trained. All rooms with doors should be closed and she needs to be gated to be kept in your site. Or she needs to be leashed to an adult until this behavior has stopped. The area she is soiling needs to be cleaned with an enzymatic pet cleaner, like Nature's Miracle. She needs to be take out frequently and verbally praised, as well as given treats, when she goes outside. Play with her for 5-10 mins. If she doesn't go outside she is crated or leashed to an adult until you take her out again. This training should go on for 3 months and she can have free reign of the house once there are no accidents for those 3 months. You can have her urine checked for crystals or infection by your Vet and consider having her spayed to see if that helps. I wish you the best!

Here's the thing, my puppy can hold her pee for maximum 2-4 hrs. But when she is out of her cage or leash she pees every 15 min and she pees a lot. How do i train her?
• DO leave feces in desired areas of elimination, when appropriate, to reinforce that this is an appropriate area for performing this function. • DO take puppy to the same desired area every time; do not play with or excite him until he has eliminated. He should realize that elimination is his first and foremost duty (no pun intended!) and that playtime is secondary. • DO interrupt improper elimination by startling your puppy (e.g. clapping your hands) and redirect or carry him to the desired elimination area. • DO be consistent and patient until your puppy’s housetraining is complete. Incomplete housetraining is a primary cause of housesoiling as an adult dog. What NOT To Do: • DO NOT punish your puppy for inappropriate elimination verbally or physically (e.g. hitting with rolled up newspaper, rubbing his nose in his mess, etc). New Pet
Our 2 month old puppy pees in my Mom's bedroom on her tbrow rugs. Why? He sleeps through the night in his bed in my room and waits to pee til I take him out, but if my Mom's bedroom door is open, he goes in there and pees on her throw rugs. I am 1
This is very common behavior for puppies. The rugs are similar to grass for them and they also smell their own scent on it so they will tend to go back to the same area. I would be sure to pick him up from his crate and carry him outside in the mornings. When you are hanging out with him during the day, I would try to take him out every hour and 15 minutes after he drinks water. I would try to keep your mom's door closed and only allow him to have access to a small part of the house until he is fully trained. It can take 3-4 months for them to become fully house trained so be patient and just continue to keep him on a strict schedule.

I think the crate is a great idea, but if you need some time to get him used to this, a small room such as a bathroom or bedroom would also limit the areas where he marks in the house. Additionally, taking him out to go to the bathroom before you leave will also decrease the amount of urine he has to mark with. A dog urinating on objects, usually vertical, is a normal, instinctive social behavior. Dogs mark their territory by urinating on certain objects within their territory. The dog returns to these spots on occasion to renew this olfactory mark. Usually the amount of urine produced is a smaller amount than when the dog relieves himself. Urinary accidents can definitely be frustrating! It would be a good idea to have Leo checked out by your veterinarian to make sure there isn't a medical reason for the accidents. I recommend restricting her from your bedroom and keeping her in a crate when you are not able to watch her. She needs a refresher in housebreaking. In addition please take her for long walks twice daily and many potty breaks too. Give her a treat and praise when she goes outside. Potty training is tough. Just stay consistent! Use a pet enzymatic cleaner to clean up any accidents in the house. Start noting when the accidents are occurring to see if there is a timeline. If you are gone, she should be in her kennel. Make sure to take her outside 30 minutes after eating. When she goes outside, give her a special treat. When she has an accident, tell her "no" firmly and clean it up without giving her extra attention.
