Why is my dog's penis suddenly swollen, red, and peeing in spurts?

my dog is 4 yrs old ,noticed swelling n red penis and was urinating in spurts ,swelling was way too much ...what could be the reason for it ?pls advice

Hello. Sorry Zorro is having this issue. He really needs to see a vet immediately! That looks very abnormal and painful! My guess is that he has had some trauma to the penis. He could have fractured the os penis which is a bone that lies at the base of the penis. He could have a blockage of his urethra. Regardless of the reason for the injury this could be a serious problem if left untreated. You need to get him to a vet ASAP. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
