Why is my new cat still having bloody diarrhea after deworming?

I recently adopted a cat, whose blood results and overall health came back perfect. He has been pooping diarrhea on and off, but now it is steady and contains mucous-y blood. He received 2 dewormers on Monday, Sept 4th. Blood has not subsided. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

This may be a bacterial infection or diet or stress related. Since it is getting worse I would have a fecal exam redone to check for bacteria or giardia. They may recommend a probiotic to help with stress and a diet change temporarily to something easier to digest.
