My dog ran into a glass door. Why is he walking slow and lethargic?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 2 days old | 34.8 lbs

My dog ran into a double sided glass sliding door Monday night. That night and just now I check his pupil w/ light and they were even. No blood on ears and he seemed normal. Since then he has just been a little off, today he got up slow and was walking favoring his left. I took him to the dog park today and he seemed slow. In addition he seems a bit lethargic. His eatting, drinking and bowel movements are normal.

Good job checking him over. I'm glad he is eating and drinking normally. He probably is sore and has a headache. Give him a day or two to rest and he should be fine. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Bo.
