Is it normal for mother to leave kitten 6 hours after birth and want a lot of attention

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is ok that Patch wants to get up and walk around. The kittens need to be fed every 2 hours at minimum. So as long as she goes back to them. Patch can eat, drink and use her litter box. After cats give birth they tend to be very affectionate. I hope this helps, good luck!
