My 14 Year old dog has suddenly started howling, barking and distroying the curtains in the house when no one is home. She has also gotten really skinny even though she eats normal and her bathroom habits are normal. What should we do to help her

Kellie is so cute! In a 14 year old dog I would recommend an exam and blood work to rule out any medical conditions like kidney disease or diabetes. If normal, she could have some dementia or brain aging. If so there is no test or treatment. I would recommend a new Purina diet called BrightMinds (I'm not sure it's available in the U.K.) which may help slow the brain aging effects. I would also talk to your vet about melatonin supplements. It may not work but if it does it could help settle her. Also, discuss arthritis medications with your vet. She could be uncomfortable and it's causing her to be restless. Good luck and kisses to Kellie!
