Is it safe for my cat to return after ant and roach spray?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Russian Blue | Female | spayed | 2 years and 11 months old

I had to spray ant & roach spray in my room (my cat's fav place) b/c I was still getting a few (+ droppings) in my room. I locked my cat out and opened all windows. She loves window but had to spray there. Is it ok to let her back in after 12 hours (product says safe once dry), or should I leave her out for longer. Also, should I keep her away from the window. I kind of regret spraying there now, since I was thinking of pest control & not how much she loves it.

It depends what spray you used, with most spray it should be fine after 12 hours but some products have longer effect in the environment, i recommend to read the cautions that needs to be taken on the spray label.
