My dog has diarrhea and sunken eyes after spay. Is this normal?

My 6mth old mastiff was spayed yesterday. She now has very watery diarrhea and sunken in sides. Is this normal after being spayed?

I am so sorry to hear that Bailey is not feeling well. The signs you are describing worry me that Bailey is not recovering well. Sunken eyes can be a sign of dehydration, and dirrhoea may be a reaction to one of He medications used or the start of an infection. I would advise calling the veterinarian who performed the procedure. I am fairly certain they will want to see Bailey back in for her recheck earlier then normal. In the meantime provide a bland diet of boiled boneless chicken breast and steamed rice. You can use some of the stock form the boiled chicken to help hydrate her as well. Boiled sweet potato with skin removed is also helpful for dirrhoea.
