My dog is grieving a lost pet. How long until he's back to normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

My wife and I just wanted once again to say thank you for trying to help us with our girl miltida,that passed away yesterday on her bed in our bedroom where maltida and her brother Haden slept ever night,and We think he knows that he's sister is gone,can you Tell us how long will it be before he is himself again we have been taking him for walks and Fidel's in the car and giving him lots of attention,Once again a very heartful thanks for your help. Thank you for the update. I am so sorry about your baby girl. The grief process can vary between dogs. It could be days or it could be months. What you are doing so far with Haden is great. Basically, continue with your daily routine so the rest of his life doesn't change. Dogs can also sense our grief so his sadness may improve when yours does. Again, it all takes time.
