Why is my 9-month dog not eating, sleeping, and missed heartworm meds?

My dog is not eating as normal and is been sleeping a lot. She's almost 9 months and i dont know if is because she is getting closer to her first period and additional im afraid because since may she dont get her heart sworn dosis , should i take her soon to a vet??? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 3 days old | 25 lbs

Hello and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I'm sorry to hear that Lyla is not herself! I think it would be a good idea to take her to your veterinarian. There are many things that could be causing these signs in a younger dog (gastrointestinal disease or parasites, infection, heart worm disease) so I think it's very important you have Lyla examined.
