My 7 1/2 month old puppy stopped eating his Hills Science Diet puppy food. He has been on that since like June any other recommendations for another quality brand of food? Much appreciated for your help.

If he stopped eating it just because he doesn't like it then you can a new brand of food and see if that improves his appetite. I really like Royal Canin and Eukanuba brand foods. Both have great puppy diets. I don't know if he is a large or small breed puppy so get him the appropriate sized puppy food. Some dogs are just picky and you have to change the food around a few times before you find one that sticks. If he stopped eating because he has no appetite then he needs to see the vet for an exam. That would be an indication that something is wrong. I hope this helps. If you have more questions please feel free to post again!

It sounds like Puppy may not like his food, which is why he isn't eating. You can certainly try Tails puppy food to see if he likes it, or you can try a high quality store brand like Royal Canin or Hill's Science diet. I recommend trying a different food that may be more palatable for him.

I would try mixing in the egg and meat with dog food and see if that entices him to eat it. Also I recommend a high quality more palatable brand such as Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Eukanuba or Purina if you haven't tried one of those already. It is best to mix in the foods for about 1-2 weeks, then slowly cut back on the egg/meat until Coco is strictly on puppy food. You can also try canned puppy food mixed in, which is generally more appetitizing for picky eaters like Coco. I hope that this helps! Best of luck moving forward. Take care. : )

First, have Blitz examined by your veterinarian to diagnose any medical causes for his lack of appetite. This may require abdominal x-rays and blood work to assess major organ function. Once medical causes are ruled out, focus on behavioral causes. Blitz may be "training" you to feed him what he wants, when he wants it. Since dogs thrive on routine, begin a consistent schedule for feeding. Prepare his meal and leave it down for 20-30 minutes before picking it up whether he has eaten or not. Repeat this at the next meal time. Do not offer any other food or snacks between meals. Since he eats Royal Canin, stick with it. You can mix in a bit of warm water or a teaspoon of baby food to stimulate his appetite. Do not change foods frequently as this can create or reinforce a finicky eater. It can also lead to gastrointestinal upset. Be firm, be patient and be consistent. Blitz will not starve. He will eat when he is hungry. Always provide fresh water.
