Why is my 6-month puppy suddenly growling and resource guarding?

My 6.5 month old puppy has started growling at strangers and resource guarding in the past week. Is this normal puppy behavior, for this age? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 6 months and 18 days old | 45 lbs

Hi there! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is not a normal behavior in puppies. I recommend you seek the help of a dog trainer or behaviorist to try to deal with this while he is still a puppy which is a lot easier than when he becomes an adult. Good luck!
