My dog has diarrhea for 16 hours. Can I give Pepto-Bismol or meds?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 4 months old | 28 lbs

I'm housesiting and a dog I'm talking care of has diarrhea, has had for 16 hours how to get rid of it..? Can I use Antidiarrhea medication, or Pepto-Bismol?

I would recommend trying to feed a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice for 24-48 hours. Also you can use an over the counter probiotic. The diarrhea will normally resolve if the diarrhea is caused from an irritated intestinal system. However if the diarrhea is due to another issue it will not resolve and he really needs to go to a veterinarian to determine the cause and provide proper treatment. Hope he feels better
