Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 7 lbs
My cat was put on clavamox for an mouth infection he has developed. It is the 2nd day of taking it I'm noticing that he is going to the litter box very frequently as well as vomiting, is this an allergic reaction and should I stop administering the antibotic?

I would contact his veterinarian before discontinuing the medication. Be sure that Oliver has a meal before giving the medication as antibiotics can cause vomiting on an empty stomach. If he continues to have vomiting or diarrhea be sure to let his vet know and they may prescribe a different medication or something to give with the clavamox to help settle his stomach. You can get probiotics for cats at many pet stores, it may be worth starting him on this while he is on antibiotics. I hope Oliver is better soon. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
