I found a small puddle of clear vomit on my floor. In the puddle of vomit, was a long, (2inches) thin, black worm. What kind of worm could this be, and should I treat my dog?

It is difficult to tell from your description what this may be. It could be something Roxy ingested and threw back up. If she is on monthly parasite prevention then she may be protected against most intestinal parasites. If not it could be a number of things and not all dewormers are effective on all parasites. I would recommend having an intestinal parasite test or fecal done on a stool sample by her vet. This can indicate what types, if any parasites she may have.
