Is my Great Dane with IBD in pain from her uncontrolled diarrhea?

My Great Dane has IBD, confirmed by biopsy. Treatment with prednisone (100 mg/day) and azathioprine (100mg/day) currently underway, currently in day 8 of treatment. Diarrhea NOT controlled, diet closely monitored, with feedings 5 or more times /day. Dog very picky about what she will eat. Biggest question, is the dog in PAIN ? Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Female | spayed | 2 years and 8 months old | 93 lbs

Gilley probably has discomfort with the chronic diarrhea. I would expect improvement by now with the diarrhea and abdominal pain. Please check with your veterinarian to see if they can give additional medication to control the diarrhea. Usually once the intestinal inflammation is controlled the dogs will feel better.
