My dog has a small bump on his leg. Is it a tumor? What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old | 55 lbs

This morning I found a small bump on the inside of my dogs leg. He's a 2 year old pitbull. The bump is a little smaller than the size of a dime, I'm just worried it might be a small tumor.

I would recommend that you have this new little bump checked out by a vet. It could be a tumor, but it could also be an insect bite reaction, infection, allergies, clotting disorder, among a few others. If you see additional spots like this show up soon, then Jagger should see a vet immediately. If this spot stays the same and others do not appear, then it could wait until your vet is next open.
