My dog threw up earlier today. She has not eaten so far nut is drinking and going outside. She seems to be interested in food but will not take it. Will she be okay. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Female | spayed | 6 lbs

A single instance of vomiting is not too troubling. It is possible that Echo is simply having an upset tummy. I would give Echo a full 24 hours to let her stomach settle down a bit before thinking that a visit to the vet is needed. You can also try medications such as Pepsid or Prilosec to see if this helps curb any sort of nausea that she may be experiencing. Any significant increase in the frequency of vomiting, addition of any other clinical signs, or decrease in energy level should be addressed with a visit to the vet. Hope this answers your question.
