My dog has excessive gas and a loud, gurgling stomach. What's wrong?

I've noticed that my one-year-old beagle throws a lot of flatulence and his stomach sounds very loud. What can be? Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I recommend taking Poli to the vet with a fresh stool sample to rule out intestinal parasites and other health concerns. If negative, I would recommend changing her diet to something less rich. In the US, I recommend Science Diet or Purina One Smartblend. There may be something in her current diet that is affecting her GI tract so she may need something new. Good luck and kisses to Poli!
