My unneutered puppy has a raw tear on his scrotum. Is it serious?

You Hi! I have a 9 month old puppy that hasn't been de-sexed. Today I noticed that there is a small tear in his scrotum. It's very raw though it doesn't look infected. He isn't in any pain and doesn't seem to notice.

I'm not really sure what caused this, it could be due to prolonged pressure on the area. it looks inflamed but not infected. as long as Huwy is not licking it i would just monitor it, there are good chances that it will resolve without treatment.
