Dog dragging bottom after vet visit and vaccinations, is it normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 27 days old

I took Willis to see the vet on Tuesday. He was given all his shorts. For the past two days I've noticed him Dragging his Bottom constantly. Should I be concern.

He may be sore at the site(s) of injection. If his anal glands were expressed during the visit, this would also cause the behavior reported. If he is not lethargic and is behaving normally otherwise, you can try a warm compress on his rear end. If this doesn't help, have him rechecked by your veterinarian. If he is lethargic or not eating, have him rechecked sooner.
