Is it normal for my dog's penis to take long to retract after humping?

Hello I have a French bulldog, once a while he likes to hump his soft toys but his penis takes about 4-5 minutes to retract. Is that normal? Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 26.4 lbs

This is actually quite commonly reported in both male and female dogs! If Yoda is really worked up, it may take a few mins for his penis to retract. If, however, you are finding it has been 10 mins or more and his penis is not retracting, you will need to visit you veterinarian as failure of retracting the penis after this time may signal a more concerning medical condition and may require medication.
