Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 14 years and 2 months old
My dog was peeing too often and bloody after i got it from the vet; where i left my dog for 4 days. After a night; he turned back to normal. He pees normally and there is no blood at all. If he is cystit, can it heal in a day? If not, why did he bleed just for one night? Could it be stress alone? What should i do now?

I'm sorry that Spike is having this problem. Even though you are not seeing frank blood in the urine there is a chance there's still blood in the urine but it would take a microscope to see it. From the picture it does look like quite a bit of blood initially. Bloody urine can be caused by bladder infection, trauma to the urethra or genital area, bladder stones, inflammation and unfortunately, sometimes cancer. It would be a good idea to go back to your veterinarian so they can examine a urine sample and decide if further testing or treatments should be done. I would schedule an appointment as soon as possible and make sure Spike is offered plenty of fresh water until you are able to get to the appointment. I hope the issues resolves for Spike soon!

Poor pup! Bloody urine is not a normal sign of stress in dogs, so I would be concerned that she may have a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, or some other medical problem causing the blood. I would recommend taking her to your vet today for an exam if possible - he/she can do a urinalysis or other testing if needed to help determine the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.
