My dog has lymphoma. How to provide comfort without treatment?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Bullmastiff | Male | neutered | 6 years and 7 months old

Hi, this isn't a question but a thank you to those who responded to my question last week about my dog's swollen throat. Unfortunately after a biopsy it has been confirmed he does have lymphoma, so thanks to the experts who helped me feel more prepared for this. We have made the heart breaking decision not to pursue treatment due to his medical history and do not want to prolong his suffering.

Hi there. I think it was me that answered your initial question. I was sure worried about lymphoma and I'm sorry that was the diagnosis but glad I could help you prepare. That is so unfortunate and I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to post again. Give Marv a kiss for me. Best wishes. Dr. Amber
