My dog has recently mated, is getting pregnant at 8 bad? Also what age should dogs stop mating? Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | unspayed | 8 years and 7 months old | 5 lbs

In my personal opinion, 8 is too old to consider breeding a female. The typical recommendation is to breed them between the ages of 2 and 5 years. Once female reach the age of 7, they are considered a senior pet and pregnancy is not a good idea. Just like with people, there are higher risks of complications in a dog if this age.
