Why does my dog have black circular lumps on her back legs?

Those are unusual lesions on Nella! I am not entirely sure what they could be, but skin infection with bacteria or fungus can cause circular lesions on the skin. I would have her examined by your vet, they may want to do a few tests on the lesions to determine what is causing them and a good method for treatment. They may recommend both oral medications and potentially topicals or a special bath.

    This is very likely to be a sebaceous cyst but this lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors. Hair loss smaller than a dime on upper front leg with white spot and reddish bumps. Slightly raised. What could this be?
It is very difficult to tell without seeing a dog in person what a skin lesion could be. Based on what we see here, we could have a small area of bacterial infection on the skin, we could have ringworm (a fungal infection), or if it is raised/nodular feeling we could have a tumor of the skin. I would recommend a visit to your vet for a closer look. They may recommend a fungal culture to test for ringworm, a skin cytology to look for bacterial growth, or a needle aspirate if they feel it could be a tumor. In the meantime, just in case this could be ringworm (which can be passed to people and other animals) it is best to wash your hands after touching this area of your dog.

My dog has nude color grow out of his skin near paws and legs then turns black once it out and air hits it what is this pls?
Obviously I can't definitively determine the cause of Fabulous's skin lesions without examining him and taking a biopsy sample. However, looking at the pictures, some of the most likely causes of this type of lesion include papillomas, over production of keratin, or benign skin tags. It would be best to have this lesion examined by your vet. Some lesions that stick out can get caught on objects, causing the area to bleed and potentially become infected. What is this on my dogs leg? She doesn’t feel any pain.
Those spots on Nala could be several things including fleas, allergies, skin mites, bacterial infection, ringworm (which humans can get) or endocrine disease. There are a couple things you can do at home and they can help but they may not address the underlying cause. You can try adding in an omega 3 fatty acid supplement for dogs, this can help improve the skin health. You may also try changing her diet to something like Royal Canin or Nutro as they are aimed at skin health. You can wash the lesions once a day (not her whole body, just the lesions). Also protect the area from trauma by having your pup wear an elizabethan collar at all times. If the lesions do not start improving within a week or if they are getting worse, have her examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I’m curious to what this lump on my pup could be , I jus notice it today . It does feel hard . But she does bite in the are a lot . should I take her to the vet? Looks like it’s on the top of her back leg bone .

My puppy has a perfect circular sore on his leg.
Poor Lazarus! This could be a bacterial or fungal skin infection, an allergy-related skin lesion, or a localized inflammatory reaction due to an insect bite or something similar. It's even possible that it could be a skin growth or tumor of some kind, especially if it feels raised vs. flat when you touch it. Treatment will depend on what the underlying problem is, so it's important to get a diagnosis first. I would recommend taking Lazarus to the vet for an exam. He/she can do some simple skin tests if needed. to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate medication to treat it.

Hi i have noticed little pea siz lumps on my dog, 1/2 on his back few on his hind legs one or two on belly, they are not crusty just under the skin. He is a Staffordshire bull terrier
The pictures are difficult to see, but I wonder if your dog is dealing with some small bumps secondary to insect bites (e.g. Mosquitoes, ants). If this is the case they should be expected to resolve over the course of 1-2 weeks. Another type of small skin bump that does NOT typically resolve with time is a sebaceous cyst. It would be unusual to see such a number of them develop all at once though. If the bumps do not start to resolve on their own then please schedule Zane an appointment with your regular veterinarian to have the bumps evaluated.

Distal dorsal side of lefr hind legs had 1.5 inch long and .5inch wide hairless redened spot that now seems to have shrunken in size but is black and hardened. Dog does not bother with the area. Also noticed hard round area over ankle bone? on same l
I would be most concerned for a lick granuloma although it is difficult to tell from pictures. These can be related to arthritic pain, boredom, compulsive disorders and allergies, among other causes. The treatment depends somewhat on what the vet suspects the cause is- but may include diet changes, pain medicine, antibiotics if it appears infected and/or behavioral modification. If your vet does not think it looks like a granuloma in person they may recommend a biopsy! I hope this helps and Mercedes is back to normal soon!

There’s a spot on my dogs pelvis/ back leg area. It has gotten larger and it’s making me worry. It’s been there about two & half weeks. What could it be?
This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching. There is a giant red lump on my dogs back leg. It’s also losing hair on it and around it.
That is quite a large lump on Laila's leg, and it could be a benign tumor or a malignant tumor. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of its cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Once the cause of the lump is diagnosed, the vet can discuss treatment options if needed.
