My dog acts strange, nibbles legs. Could it be fleas or anal glands?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 18 lbs

My dog acts strange every so often. He could be sitting calmly then suddenly jumps down off the chair and starts running in a crouched manner against the walls. He lays down in out of character places and nibbles at his leg, today was his front leg, yesterday was his back leg. Why is this?

The two most common causes I have seen for this are fleas/parasites and anal gland impactions. I would be sure to have Milo on a good flea prevention and have his skin treated if he has any abrasions or signs of infections. If you suspect his anal glands you would want to have them examined at a hospital! I hope this helps!
