Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 14 days old | 22 lbs
Hi, I have a 10-week old golden retriever that got a joint infection this past week. I got antibiotics that I have been giving him and he is doing a lot better. My question is will this affect him negatively in the future? Will he have joint pain as a grown up because of this?

Hi there and thank you for your question! Whether or not Mauno will have joint issues in the future depends on what exactly the diagnosis was. You can request a consult with me and we can go over this in more detail. There are some joint diseases that are transient and dissipate over time, others may have lasting consequences to the joint itself. It depends on what the diagnosis was. It is great to hear he is doing better with the antibiotics though- that is a good sign. More information is needed for me to better access the outcome for your question. Thank you!
