Samoyed for apartment living: Male or female dog, which is best?

I'm confused wether to get an uneutered male or unspayed female Samoyed dog to my apartment! Please tell me which is better

If I had to keep a unsterilized pet at my house or apartment I would select a female. That said females go into heat cycle and may have to wear diapers to avoid staining the house. I favor the personality of female Samoyed over a male especially if they are not neutered.
