Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 6 lbs
Hi! My Merci was spayed 6 days ago. Having never been there for a cat during the healing period before I just want to make sure her wound is healing well! Attached is a picture of the site. Furthermore, she currently has a cone - given the state of the scar here, would it be fine to take it off tomorrow at the full week since the surgery? Thank you!

Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The incision looks like it is healing quite well. It is a little pink, but I see no swelling or discharge. You can remove her cone tomorrow, but continue to look at Merci's belly daily for at least another week. Take care.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your questions. The surgical site from the spay looks great and appears to be healing well based on the pictures you provided. It does not appear to be swollen or red, which is great! In regards to the cone, if she does not have any interest in the incision, you can try her out of the cone and see how she does. You can also find the inflatable doughnut collars that go around the neck to help prevent her from chewing at the incision (if she is chewing or licking), which can be found online or at your local Petco. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
