Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear that Sonec is sick from the ingestion. Not sure what he actually ate since there are many different waxing products out there. I would advise that if the vomiting doesn't resolve or worsens over the next 6-12 hours, you should take him to a veterinarian and get him evaluated. The ingestion of this product could cause a lot of irritation and a possible foreign body in the stomach or intestinal tract. Your vet can gather a thorough history (more about the product) and examine him. Once that is done, a treatment plan can be outlined. I hope the vomiting stops soon and Sonec returns to normal. Good luck.

Hi there! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! How likely he is to be affected will depend on how much was ingested. In small amounts, usually only gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting and diarrhea are observed. If he is already vomiting, I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. Your veterinarian can contact the ASPCA Poison control center for the most updated information on this specific product (which I assume is Nair) as this is not a common toxicity in dogs. Depending on when this occurred, they may still be able to induce vomiting (if within 2 hours) to try to retrieve as much as possible. At the very least, they can start him on anti-nausea medications to try to make him feel better quicker. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!
