My puppy on Royal Canin hydrolyzed diet won't eat in heat, vomits.

My puppy has to be on royal canin hydrolyzed protein trial because she's developed a food allergy. The problem is with this food she gets hungry throughout the day. When she is on an empty stomach for too long she throws up she's always been that way & it's happening with this food if I don't feed her a little every few hrs. Problem Is right now it is VERY hot in my area & she's refusing to eat. I'm not sure what to do just wait it out? She's playful but she wants to sleep at the same time. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 6 months and 26 days old | 7.2 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Make sure you are feeding Snowball the recommended daily amount. It should say it on the bag. Not every food is the same amount of calories per cup so she may require more per day than her previous diet. Because she gets sick on an empty stomach, I would split the daily amount into 2 or 3 meals a day. It is common for dogs not to eat when its hot- they don't require the calories. As long as she is eating the recommended amount per day I wouldn't be concerned. Good luck and kisses to Snowball!
