Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | 16 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs
My 15 lb. Female dog, unknown breed, had what I thought was a mole, turned out to be what I believe to be a American dog tick, she sometimes don't seem herself, she itches almost constantly, the only rash I see is about the size of a dime and it's located right by her female private part. Could this be Rocky mountain spotted fever or something worse? What should I do for her? Please help me help her! Thank You,,, David & Lucy

It is good that you are aware that ticks can transmit diseases! RMSF as you said and Lyme disease are just two of them. Her behavior may or may not be related to the tick, but since some of these diseases can be lethal, I would recommend taking her (and the tick if you have it) to the vet. The right antibiotic can help most tick borne diseases significantly! I hope this helps!
