Ouch, poor Jingles! It looks like he could have injured himself leading to the scab. I am concerned about the redness surrounding the sea, as that can indicate infection. I would have him seen by a vet on Monday for this scab. If he does have an infection, he will need antibiotics to treat it. I hope it helps!

This looks like scab, probably from an infection, you will need to wait a few days and see if it seems to be healing or if it is getting worse, in case this is not getting any better you will have to get it checked and treated by your vet.

My cat has this weird hard, scab like thing on her neck. When I went to investigate, a piece of it came off and it looked a little bloody underneath. The area is about as big as my thumbnail.
With that scab and discharge it is likely infected. To can be from either a scratch or injury that tried to heal wth a scab but the bacteria got trapped underneath to form the infection. You can gentle get the scab off to clean the area with soap and water then apply neosporin twice a day until you can get it checked by a vet for oral medicine

My cat has a sore at the side of her head which she has scratched a few times but it is scabbing over now. Do you think she needs to go to a vet or will they just say let it heal.
If it's scabbing over, I'd let it be but if Tink keeps scratching at it, then take her into the vet. Also take her into the vet if it appears infected. Signs of infection include redness, swelling, pus, and the area being warm to the touch. I hope this helps!

Found a large scab on my 5 year old cat on her back. She appears normal and doesn't itch
It could be that Ruby sustained a wound from trauma that has caused the scab, and I would monitor it for now for signs of infection. These signs include redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, and puss. Should any of those signs be seen, I would take Ruby into the vet for antibiotics. I would not put any topical treatment on it. Although quite safe on superficial wounds, cats groom and ingest most of the topical ointment you apply and therefore should be used only under direct veterinary supervision and if there are no other appropriate options. Many human ointments contain multiple other ingredients which are not necessarily safe to be swallowed. Hopefully, it should heal just fine on it's own.

Hello, my cat has this weird scab on her neck. I don't have the money for a vet visit, could you tell me what it is?
It looks like it may be a wound that has developed a scab. This may habe been from a cat fight wound. I would be concerned with how deep this wound goes and a secondary infection. You can make up a light brown solution of Betadine and sterile saline to clean the area and monitor it. If it worsens, I would strongly urge you try to get in to see a vet for proper treatment.

My cat has this scab on his neck that looks infected he hasn't had any itching from it there was one scan and that one disappeared now a new one has turned up next to the old one
Have you put any medicine on that area such as flea prevention before it was noticed? Sometimes that is a sign of a reaction from a topical. Another area to check is his ears, sometimes they can scratch their neck instead and. Cause a wound if there is an infection or mites. If it doesn't improve then your vet can check for an infection or an allergy that could cause it

Poor cat. This looks wide enough where it should at the very least get a topical treatment. You can try an over the counter antibitoic ointment or spray from your local pet store. Ask a store representative as to what is available in your area. You should also clean this area with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water to help keep bacteria and infection at bay. If it doesn't seem to be healing well in the next few days, then a vet visit is warranted at that point. I hope that this heals up well soon! Best of luck moving forward. Take care. : )

Medium size black spot with pink edges on cats leg
The lesion in the photo looks to be an infection. It is not possible to determine the severity or how deep it is because if the crusty buildup on the surface. This may be bacterial or fungal, but it should be looked at by your vet and Jibgkes will at least need a prescription antibiotic or anti fungal medication. If the wound under the surface is deep, surgical debridement may be necessary.

It's very likely that he has done it to himself by scratching his ear, which usually happens when a cat has an ear infection. you need to take him to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, he will probably need an antibiotic ear drops.

It looks as if Jack has been licking this spot, meaning it is probably irritating him. It could be from an old wound, a bacterial infection (called a "hot spot"), or even a mite infestation. Unfortunately, when cats groom sore areas they often become more irritated and take longer to heal. If you can, place a cone collar on him or a kitty t-shirt over the area to cover it. I would recommend having it looked at by a vet just to make sure it does not require additional treatment such as antibiotics or medication for mites.
